Mai Whelan, the winner of Netflix’s Squid Games: The Challenge, philanthropist, and author, recently made a visit to our Hollywood facilities. She toured the Wallis House, an interim housing facility for women and children, learning firsthand about the support and resources provided on sight. Mai also visited the Lifting Youth Up Drop-in Center; here she engaged with staff taking part in discussions about the impact of community-driven initiatives on youth and families.
During her visit, Mai had a heartfelt conversation with Aviva’s President & CEO, Amber Rivas discussing ways to further support youth in transitional housing. Her visit was a reminder of the power of compassion and the importance of giving back to those who need it most.
